Digitization for museums, cinemas and theaters
Communication in the museum, cinema and theater
What new paths does digitization open up and what exciting products are ready for communication? At ARLED, we ask ourselves this question every day and develop digital solutions and products for museums, cinemas and theaters. In doing so, we develop concepts and solutions for integrating and visualizing communication in existing and new buildings.
In doing so, museums, cinemas and theaters have a multi-layered structure. All buildings are always united by a large entrance area, often in historic buildings. Here it is not always easy to provide the infrastructure such as power and network at the right place. These structural changes need to be well thought out. In addition to rollable display solutions with rechargeable batteries, installations in shop windows or in front of glass facades can be implemented quite well. But we also offer exciting digitization measures for the remaining route chain.

Museum character in our showroom in Stockelsdorf near Lübeck. We show you how you can interactively and networked address many different moving image systems with a single control. Let visitors interactively control large video walls or stream multilingual audio guides via their smartphones.

Do you already know our fully animated, acoustic LED area lights? No? Then we should urgently talk about this gamechanger. With the Glowcoustic series, we offer you the right LED acoustic solution for your facility (Photo: Hollywood Megaplex).
Developments for museums, cinemas and theaters
However, the question of how to do this usually arises quickly when considering suitable measures. This is where your own creativity is called for. We develop these with you into functioning solutions. This is how solutions were created as a transition from the LED light box to the high-tech video wall for cinemas
(Printanimation) but also the acoustic surface light of the Glowcoustic-Serie for museums. We offer the latter to architects and specialist planners as a modular variant with fixed planning values for tenders, but also fundamentally as a creative tool for artistic buildings, such as our 18×37 meter ceiling light consisting of 42 asymmetrical triangles.
Digitization in the cinema
Many movie theater operators want to make sure that visitors have a good evening at the movies and feel good about it. The interior is often the decisive criterion in the visitors‘ evaluation. People want to be seated well and entertained appropriately. This usually starts right at the entrance. Over the years, our experience has led to exciting solutions for cinemas. Not entirely uninvolved in the development is our own, now 10-year-old cinema screen brand ARLED-Cinema Screens and our connections to (home) cinema builders from the DACH region, which often set the trend for the year. The size of the cinema room or hall does not matter to us. With our frame systems, large format prints, illuminated and acoustic solutions as well as our digital technology around video walls, monitors and CMS systems, we are the right partner for cinema projects of any size.

Together with the lighting specialist Systemplan GmbH, we were able to be a part of the modernization measures at the Hollywood Megaplex Pluscity in Pasching near Linz, Austria, in 2016. Here we supplied the extensive LED video wall technology including feed for the large foyer, the illuminated special shapes for walls and ceilings in the cinema halls and installed interactive print animation modules with coordinated light animations for the admission and advertising blocks.
